I have dedicated my entire career to the construction industry, following in the footsteps of my family. Both of my brothers and I undertook our carpentry apprenticeships together, guided by our father who was a seasoned builder. Construction runs in our blood, shaping our passion for the craft from a young age. I vividly remember accompanying my dad to worksites during school holidays, solidifying my career trajectory. At the age of fifteen, I eagerly seized my first opportunity to dive into the construction world, driven by a deep-seated connection to the industry.
After exploring various corners of the world and soaking in diverse cultures, flavors, and sounds, I found my anchor here in Ocean Grove, Australia. Transitioning from a life filled with globetrotting adventures, indulging in exquisite cuisines, grooving to lively melodies, and savouring fine beers, I decided to lay down my roots and embrace a more settled existence. Now, blessed with two amazing kids and supported by my beautiful partner Natasha, who plays an integral role in our family business alongside my brothers and sister-in-law, I find solace in the serenity of family life. Though my father sadly departed a few years ago, I know he would beam with pride at our collective accomplishments. While occasional escapades to concerts, movies, or eateries still hold a sweet spot in my heart, my focus has shifted towards nurturing a quieter, more fulfilling lifestyle.
The inception of Boyd Family Homes stemmed from a deep-seated desire to afford my loved ones the comfort and security they truly deserve, fuelled by an innate passion for turning dream homes into tangible realities. With a fervent aspiration to establish a lasting legacy that safeguards my family's future even beyond my retirement, I take immense joy in guiding others towards achieving their homeownership aspirations.
